VPA IFBs and RFPs Updated June 25, 2008 IFB2009-01, Baker Street Office Building, NIT Pdf of Craney Island Road and Rail Connector presentation given at prebid conference List of Attendees at Prebid Conference Craney Island Interchange Modification Report (this is referenced in Addendum 1) Virginia Port Authority The Virginia Port Authority (VPA) is requesting proposals for professional engineering services required for the development of the design of the Craney Island Road & Rail Connector (CIRRC) project. Services under this Request for Proposal (RFP) may include, but not be limited to, the concept design, including route surveying and geotechnical analysis, as well as preparation of follow-on contract documents. The CIRRC project is a 2.75 mile-long multi-modal road and rail corridor connecting the Route 164 Western Freeway to the future Craney Island Marine Terminal (CIMT), which is to be sited on the planned Eastward Expansion of the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area (CIDMMA). PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING: A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held at 10:00am on June 19, 2008 at the Crumbley House outside the South gate of Norfolk International Terminals, Norfolk, VA. The purpose of this meeting is to allow potential offerors an opportunity to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation. Any changes resulting from this meeting will be issued in a written addendum to the solicitation. Proposals will be accepted until 2:00pm, local prevailing time, on July 10, 2008, at the offices of the Virginia Port Authority, 600 World Trade Center, Norfolk, VA 23510-1696.
